I paint abstractly because not everything meaningful can be explained. Instead, color, texture, movement, and layered acrylics allow me to express ideas that words often cannot.
Every painting begins without a plan. Instead, I build layers, remove them, and respond to what unfolds. As a result, each mark influences the next, allowing the artwork to develop naturally rather than following a predetermined image.
Hidden beneath every finished painting is a history of choices, revisions, discoveries, and moments of uncertainty. Consequently, those unseen layers create the depth, texture, and character that define my work.
Growing up along the Long Island Sound and now living in South Florida continue to inspire my paintings through changing light, coastal landscapes, weather, and movement. Rather than painting literal scenes, I translate those memories into abstract forms, color, and atmosphere.
